I had some trouble with my library and did a rebuild.
Since then I've noticed that in the Projects view all of the project thumbnails have a badge which looks like a '2' in a red circle in the left lower corner.
I've never noticed this before and have been using aperture for a long time. Any ideas what it is?
Macbook 2.16 2GB, Mac OS X (10.6.4)
Does the badge look like this?
This badge should not appear in Project view, but on single images and indicate how often they have been used.
Other red numbers may appear on synced items - for example shared photo streams. The vindicate if the shared album has new items.

Could you post a screen-shot of Projects View showing this? A screen-shot of the entire Aperture window, with the Library Inspector showing and the Projects section expanded, would be helpful.
