Q: I cannot send mail from Mac Mail. I can receive mail. I updated to Yosemite about two months ago. Is there a problem in my Mac or is it systemic?

I cannot send email from Mac Mail but I can receive mail. What is going on? My cable provider said it was a problem

for Apple's mail server and that all was well on my end.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
