Q: Gamma issue in YouTube from Final Cut Pro Export/Share

I'm having an issue with gamma when uploading files made in Final Cut to YouTube.

The picture looks perfect in the final cut preview but after uploading it to youtube the brightness is down and colours are pretty heavily over-saturated.

I've tried exporting the file to my computer from final cut (as .mp4)  and when playing it back on the computer it looked great so i tried uploading that video to youtube and it too was completely off in terms of gamma/colour etc.

I've read there are a lot of problems with gamma shift in quicktime and FCP but i can't seem to find a (relatiely) easy resolution or work around for it. Further more, im not even entirely sure the issue lies within FCP or if it YouTube.

Anyone had this issue?
