Can I use a sim card adapter made for iPhone for other types of phones?

I want to buy a sim card adapter that can change my microsim into a standard sim, and online I found one that can go nano-micro, micro-standard and nano-standard. But it says that it is for iPhone, which I don't understand - I thought the sim sizes were the same for all brands? I have a Samsung, so I don't want to buy something if it only works for iPhone.

But is a nanosim for Apple different from a nanosim for other brands of phones, or is a nanosim just a nanosim independent of brands?
