Q: Auto effect on the photos

Some auto effect appears on every photos just after I downloaded them from my iPhone.

How can I get rid of this function? Now I have to open every single photo and revert it to original. All has the ugly chrome effect.

I can see the original photo for a few secs and after that the new terrible colours applied.

Is there any way to switch off this option? …or  I need to do this one by one?

MacBook Pro (17-inch Early 2009), iOS 8.3

Are you using iCloud Photo Library? Or PhotoStream? Or iTunes Sync? Or image capture? How are you "downloading" form the phone

Hav you modified these photos on the phone?

Via the USB  cord, I downloading the pics within Photos - 'Import' button.

I did not apply any filters to the photos on my iPhone either.

I checked my iPhone, and it is that adds the filter. It is less visible there, as the colours are less vivid. I just migrated from iPhoto to Photos. In iPhoto there was no problem like this, I always saw the original colours.

Now I have to find out how could I switch off the effect on my iPhone.

For iPhone support post in the iPhone forum

Generally iPhoto only imported the original photo, not the edited photo

You have probably set the filter in the Camera.app on your iPhone. Disable it there.

Previously syncing by USB did only transfer the original photos. Now USB syncing will also transfer the edits in a sidecar file.  This way, any edits you do on your iPhone will be transferred losslessly and you can undo them by "Revert to Original".
