Watch not responding to raising wrist

i cant see my watch face unless I tap on it

it does not respond at all when I raise my wrist

aand I can't access Siri by raising my wrist

Apple Watch Sport 38mm, iOS 8.3

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Have you tried restarting the watch (hold in button until able to power off, or hold down button and crown to force restart if necessary) or even resetting it if the restart doesn’t help (My Watch > General > Reset)

Look also in your watch general set up if you enabled wrist detection

Restarting (as suggested by the venerable PM abive) solved this problem for me. Even though it's an Apple device, it still gets a little wonky now and them, and needs a chance to clear out all the bad energy and start over.
