Music not copying from laptop to ipod touch

I Have the 64gb iPod touch. I am trying to copy music across from my laptop. I am using at least 2gb less than the available space and I had no warning that it had run out of space but now I check and there are a lot of songs missing. Help

iPod touch, iOS 8.3

Do some songs sync to the iPod?

Are the non-syncing songs iTunes purchases? If so do y have any restrictions set that would prevent them from syncing? Settings>General>Restrictions?

Do the non-syncing songs play in iTunes on the computer?

Is there anything different between the syncing or non-syncing songs like format or where they cam from?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync/delete all music and resync

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
