Q: What does "Recovery HD mounted or unmounted" mean on a MacBook?

My Growler notification says "Recover HD mounted or unmounted" everytime I connect or disconnect to the internet...

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    I, too, am wondering what it means that hourly I see Growl/HardwareGrowler "report" that the Recovery HD Mounts and Dismounts.

     

    Was the "response" by CT intended to imply that their is a bug in Growler? While this could be, It isn't clear to me if this is a just Growler "reporting" or it perhaps that Growler is causing the Mount/Dismount behavior, as CT implies with the link to Growler tech support. I have seen this behavior for months, likely for more than a year, perhaps since the first time I installed Growl and HardwareGrowler a few years ago. I have wondered about it, but don't know that it is an actual problem.

     

    In my case, I see this behavior on a 2008 MacPro running Yosemite.
