ProTools 10, AVID Artist Mix, Yosemite

The mother board went out in my MacBook Pro so I had to purchase a new (Used) one to run my DAW, I was previously running Lion OS X but with the new Mac I am only able to acquire Yosemite. Yosemite and ProTools 10 do not seem to be compatible. Is there a way to get ProTools and Yosemite to correspond, or how do I get Lion OS X? Please help! I am losing money daily.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), null

I have just dealt with the same issue recently. I have a late 2009 MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard, Pro Tools 10, Mbox Pro 3. I just bought a Yamaha MOXF6 keyboard and wanted to load the USB drivers for it, but the minimum OS specs for the driver was OS X 10.7. Since the Yosemite upgrade was free, I went ahead and updated my OS to later find out that Pro Tools 10 wouldn't work on it. After that I downgraded my OS back to 10.6.8, purchased Mountain Lion from the app store for $20, upgraded to that and all is good now.

I'm not sure if it's a geographic restriction but Im in the US and I can't download or purchase anything earlier than OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 or OS X Server 4.1.3

Lion and Mountain Lion are available in the Apple Retail store for US $20. They send you a redemption code for the App Store. But, your Mac must be able to run it. If your Mac is too new, it cannot run Lion or Mountain Lion.

The free OS's prior to the most current are not available anywhere.
