Q: icloud full with only a couple of pics?

I have an phone 4s. I have whittled all of my photos down to 46. Nine of which are instagram photos. I use icloud solely for photos. NO backups, notes, reminders, documents, contacts, nothing. My icloud is telling me it is full. With 46 photos. I deleted 300 photos (after uploading to my pc) and the storage hasn't changed. Can someone please tell me what is up? I feel as though 46 photos would not even come close to using a gig of space.

Not sure if you are aware but because of your mention of "using a gig of space" -- iCloud has 5GB of free storage.
There may be something in the following that will help you find what is occupying the space: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

I realized I typed "a gig" after j posted. I was heading out the door and didnt have time to change it. I followed your steps and it is telling me, "You have 46 photos and 0 videos stored in iCloud. Your photoa and videos are using up 4.3 GB." I then have the option to upgrade my storage. That is it. Thank you for your help!
