Q: help how do i change permissions on a partition using ARD and unix command?

I have a partition on my main drive (Macintosh HD) called (Temp Drive). I desperately need to change permissions on that drive with a unix command in ARD so everybody can do anything.

Tried sudo chmod 777 /Volumes/Temp Drive

However it just keeps coming back no such file found

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Put a backslash before the space, or enclose the path in single quotes ('). If that doesn't work, drag the volume from the Finder instead of typing out the path.

In your case:

sudo chmod 777 '/Volumes/Temp Drive'

or:

sudo chmod 777 /Volumes/Temp\ Drive
