Have two library folders, can I delete one ?

Hello Everyone !

I'm really disappointed of the changes made from iPhotos to Photos but still, that's not the point here.

I noticed that I now have an iPhoto library folder (which is 20GB) and one Photos library folder (which is also 20GB). Can I delete the old iPhotos library folder without having any problems of content ?

Thank you.

Keep in mind that the two libraries are sharing the same files using hard links. See Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support for a brief explanation or Six Colors: The (hard) link between Photos and iPhoto for a more in depth one. So you can delete the iPhoto Library if you want, but it will not free up anywhere as much space as you might think.
