Q: Cannot add updated Citicard

My CitiCard is about to expire.  I have a new one with the same number.  What's changed is the expiration date the security code.  After scanning the card in Apple Pay, all seemed well.  I hit "agree" on the terms & conditions screen, hit "next", and it was trying to add the card; but, it won't.  I've tried over the course of 2 days at different times of day.  Has anyone else run into this problem and/or found a workaround for this sort of problem?

    I just found the answer to my own question.  When updating a card that has the same number, you first have to delete the old card, then scan the new one containing the new expiration date and security code.  That worked fine.  I hope this information will save other people time.
