According to this article: https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/: You can even set up family reminders that will appear on everyone’s devices at the exact time or place you choose.
it only prompts me when someone makes changes to the event
but if i were to set a alert (time), my other members don't get it
Perhaps this article will assist: Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support
thanks, but i don't have problem setting up the group.
i am already using the group and everyone is able to see the calendar entries. what im facing is, the alerts are not propagated across all the devices.
Everyone has their notifications properly set up and turned on?
i have spoken to apple support and they have confirmed each user has to set their own alert
thanks, maybe i should clarify.
what i actually meant was "alert" aka "alarm" like 2hours before event time.
the notification in the article refers to a pop up saying "Asakura added <go to the zoo> on Saturday" something like that.

I think this post has the answer - each user has to set their own alert.
