Jun 25, 2015 9:53 AM in response to alnhkby ClosetotheEarth,Hi ALN iis that your current OS 10.6??
I would suggest an upgrade to a more current OS but that is besides the point.
I did have an airport base station fail over time. And this is what I got too the blinking light. I would try to get in there with another utility to see if you can get it back online... Just a thought. I have my fingers crossed for you! Sara

Jun 25, 2015 10:06 AM in response to alnhkby ClosetotheEarth,It sounds like your network connection from the provider is not working in that case. Try plugging right into the ADSL with Ethernet to your computer to verify that your provider model is functioning. Take the wifi out of the "chain" so to speak and start from there. Its helpful to determine where the problem is coming from. We had a power pole go down and it took out internet service for 2 days. Some things can happen on the provider side. Rule that out first. Do you happen to have a screen shot?
I am on your teal ALN gonna get it working again!!

Jun 25, 2015 10:24 AM in response to alnhkby ClosetotheEarth,Looks like the ADSL is not sending signal out through the Ethernet. I think your call is going to be to the provider to get the Ethernet functioning. Airport is looking for a signal and is in set-up mode.

Jun 25, 2015 10:26 AM in response to ClosetotheEarthby alnhk,Well, when i tried with other wireless router [netgear N600], it works fine when connected to this same ADSL modem. But with this apple airport extreme, it is not. Any objections ?

Jun 25, 2015 10:38 AM in response to alnhkby ClosetotheEarth,Hmm If it is functional with the Netgear and not with the Airport and it suddenly went offline? Can you share a screen shot of your airport utility progress window? There are 3 different modes of reset soft, hard and factory.

Jun 25, 2015 12:28 PM in response to alnhkby ClosetotheEarth,Looks like you did a soft reset. Follow the instructions for a factory reset and then on the utility after you are done on the left it will show a button that says "other wifi devices (1)" if that shows up you should be able to set it up as a new base station , rename the network and base station and enter the password.
