ap freezing phone - wont open

My ibooks ap will not open, when it tries to open it freezes the whole phone. i have turned device off and even done a restart - no results...been happening for weeks now. Help?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on device.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

Tried both and still nothing.

The app will act like its trying to open and it freezes to a white screen, then it closes. The app appears to be open and you go to open it and it is still stuck on the last screen I was able to get to in the app weeks ago. It freezes there then closes but will still show open.
