Q: Question about itunes home sharing
Here's the situation: wife wants to share HER itunes library with husband (each have their own macbooks). She is very concerned however, that by opting for "itunes home sharing" that her husband will accidentally delete songs/playlists or mixmatch the order of songs. Her playlists and songs are used for her business and it is extremely important the library does not get disrupted in any way.
So I guess this is a multi-part question.
- Does enabling "itunes home sharing" allow the authorized devices to listen (read) only the music? Or does it also give them access to change/delete files (read/write)?
- If any changes are made, will it sync with original owner's itunes library and consummate any changes made?
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), null

iPod
- Yes to the first bit, no the second. (One question per bullet point please!)
- Not applicable, except optionally to update playcounts. (Incorporate would be a better word )
