Having trouble sending mail from my Mac. All email settings are correct but the out going servers show as off line.

Outgoing mail Issue.

Have 1 year old MacBook Pro, latest OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.3, 2.4GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB memory.

Two days ago am not able to send mail from the Mac. Incoming is fine but cannot reply or send new messages. Checked all email settings and they are correct. Outgoing server shows a "offline".

Checked with service provider (COX) and they say it isn't their problem.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 8.1.1

I am using Mac book air, Intel i3, 4GB RAM, having the same problem too. So i switch to Outlook for MAC, now i can send. Infant Outlook take up lesser HDD space too, which is essential for MacBook Air.
