Q: Dell Monitor P2815Q Display

My monitor (Dell P2815Q) and Macbook Pro 15-inch Mid 2010 won't work. I am currently connecting it with a VGA cable and every time I boot up my computer both the screens will go black and flicker and go black and then show my displays for one second and repeat the process again. I don't know what to do and I need help.
