I have an old version of Xcode 4.2. Will that let me build a GUI, add buttons, and make the button clicks run an applescript.
Sure - you can use older versions of Xcode, you just need to use the current version if you want to put your application in the App Store. Starting in Snow Leopard, AppleScriptObjC is also available, which lets you use AppleScript in Xcode.
my interface builder is not giving me the results in this web link. I just need to link a script to a button. The scripts are written and work. Its Xocde 3.1.2 that I a having a problem with. what are the chances someone can help me go back in time 10 years just to make a GUI with a button. Geesh.
Xcode 3.1 is from the AppleScript Studio days, which is quite a bit different from later versions if you are wanting to use AppleScript in Xcode.. What language are you looking at using for your application?
