    Hello Lellsworth3,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you were unexpectedly asked to enter your Apple ID (iTunes Store account) password when using apps on your iPhone.

In a situation like this it's a good idea to change your Apple ID password, as mentioned in Security and your Apple ID:

If you believe your account information has been compromised, visit My Apple ID to change your password immediately. If you need additional help, contact Apple Support.

You can find some additional tips at that link for securing your account, such as adding security questions to your account or enabling two-step verification.

    All the best,

    Jeremy

    Hi Lellsworth3

This also happens to me from time to time so I understand your concern. Mostly I will not provide the password when It first asks for it even if I think it might be a legit request. Then I continue with what ever it is I was doing, Then if a proper App complains that it is having trouble assessing my phone or library etc... and the request appears again I will comply! Also if you had recently asked the phone or an app to do something special then it's probably legit. I hope this is helpful to you, I'm not ususly one who supplies answers to questions posted here so [as always] proceed with caution!
