Help! Syncing my iPod and all the songs on iTunes were added!

I was syncing my iPod touch to iTunes to transfer some of the songs I had purchased to my iPod, and I must have done something wrong, because it synced and then proceeded to copy every single song I had onto my iPod (like 8000) -- and it deleted many of the songs already on my iPod. Please help! I'd really like my music back!

If the songs are not on your iPod or in iTunes on your computer you will have to get them from where you got them before.

For your description it appears hat this was not your syncing computer and you previously synced to another computer. If you sync to another computer the media on the iPod gets erased and replaced with the medi in the iTunes library of the second computer.
