OK so i want to use airport in my car. but i do not know if i can connect my ipad through my hotspot(iphone) and airplay music using airport through the ipad at the same time? the airport would be connect to my car aux input. would the air port kick out my my ipads hotspot?.

What works with the iPad mini? Do you mean you can access the Internet with your iPad using your iPhone AND stream from the iPad to an AirPort base station that is connected to your car's audio port?
im sorry i ment to say it worked with my apple tv. so i was able to connect through my iphones hotspot and at the same time connect to the apple tv on the ipad mini with out being kicked out of the hotspot.
No problem. That works because the Apple TV, like your iPad mini is performing as a network wireless client ... both which can connect to the Wi-Fi network provided by your iPhone's "hotspot." Although the AirPort Express can be configured as a wireless client, it cannot connect to this type of network for the purposes of streaming or as a wireless Ethernet bridge.
