OS X Server 4.1 default installation will not allow emails to be send OUT

I havejust installed OS X Server 4.1 onto a Yosemite Mac and there seems to be a lacking of settings to control anything to do with local clients or their IP address.

Not to mention a lacking of documentation for more advanced functions.

I can receive emails that are INBOUND from the Internet but cannot send emails OUTBOUND.

The server logs have the following entries:

connect from unknown [localIP]

NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown [localIP]

The only way I can get it to work it to turn ON SMTP Auth in the Mail Client and type in the username & password associated with each user..

Fine if you have a client but there are some devices like copiers scanning to email that I cannot setup this way and get REJECTED.

Can anyone tell me how to allow relaying from LOCAL IP ranges like we could setup in earlier versions of Server.

thanks
