Q: Cannot hide (delete) unwanted purchased apps

Is there any way I can hide unwanted purchased apps?

I have deleted the unwanted apps from my iPad and iPhone, but now ant to remove them from my purchase list in the App Store. I have hidden unwanted apps before, but now cannot hide unwanted apps.

Has Apple changed the system without telling anybody?

Regards

How are you trying to do it ? You need to do it via your computer's iTunes, if you are trying to do it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad (by swiping/dragging from right-to-left across them) then that doesn't work, they reappear if you exit the tab : Hide and unhide purchases in the iTunes Store - Apple Support - on the current version of iTunes the 'x' doesn't show, but clicking on the app's top left corner where it should be should still hide the app.

    Hello

The link in both replies is out of date. I have Quick Links, but the Purchased link has disappeared in the App Store in iTunes.

I am running Mac OS 10.10.3 on a MacBook Pro and iOS 8.3 on my iPad Mini and iPhone 5c.

    Regards

If you go to the music part of the store then Purchased under Quick Links should show (e.g. click Music bottom left under the Explore heading, or click the Music icon top left), or just click on your name/icon towards the top right of the iTunes screen and then click Purchased on the popup :

    Hello

Going to the Music part of the store has done the job. This solution is certainly not easy to find. Maybe Apple just want to make deleting (sorry, hiding) purchased apps so difficult the users will give up.

    Thank you

I have the same problem and I knew how to do it but it looks things have changed. I checked the official Apple answer on this which suggests nothing has changed in that process, but on my Mac (10.10.5) running iTunes (12.3), the app icons now look different.

The icons of purchased apps deleted from my computer that I want to hide don't display an X on mouseover, and all apps not on my Mac have an indication in the top right corner to download the app. Similar to iOS. However music, films, and TV programmes can all still be hidden from the purchased list.

Does this mean this policy has now changed for purchased apps?

The 'x' doesn't show on apps, but clicking on the app's top left corner should still hide the app (the 'x' is effectively invisible for apps)
