Q: I have an old macbook pro Intel Core 2 Duo with 3 GB of SDRAM which is running OSX Lion 10.7.5. My machine won't take Mountain Lion and is currently running Safari 5.1.7 Can my machine upgrade to a later version of Safari ??

Yes. The latest version of Safari for Mac OS X 10.7.5 is version 6.1.6; launch it directly from the Applications folder, and if needed, reinstall Lion.
