I had to reset my iPad 2 and restored it from iCloud. All of the photos appear as white boxes in the photos section. When I tap on a picture, it appears for 1 second and goes white with a message that says loading. It never loads. I've tried restoring from a different backup and that didn't work. How do I fix that?

Are you using the iCloud Photo Library or importing photos directly into your computer?

No, sorry - do you have iCloud Photo Library turned on on your device? Settings>Photos & Camera>iCloud Photo Library - is that turned on or off?

Well, it has to download all of those photos from your iCloud Photo Library. Give it some time. They will start to show up. But you need to not do any more restores while it is trying to get the download done. Every time you restore it has to start over.

I'Ve been waiting 2 weeks. How long should it take?
Depends on the size of your Photo Library and your Wifi speed.
Have you tried turning off iCloud Photo Library and then turning it back on again (toggling the switch)?

Yes, i have tried this. There is a problem. This has been going on forvweeks with a gooscwi fi connection. Waiting is not solving the problem.
After waiting a cople of weeks, I again used the restore function to try to get the photos back. It actually worked and I was able to due some editing and delte some photos. Then they just went white again. What could be causing this? How can I fix it?
