yahoo mail notification

How do I stop yahoo mail notifications from coming to my apple watch? There is not specific app on my phone, yet yahoo mail seems to mirror my phone's email notifications. I went to the apple watch mail setting and turned off show alerts. Still keeps coming. There is no yahoo mail app on the watch to customize notifications. I only want to receive them on my cell. Any suggestions? I have already restarted both devices.
