Just wiped and rebuilt a drive on an old eMac to sell it. Among the programs installed is iPhoto (v2.0). I'd like it to update to 2.0.1 (I figure that's a stability update), but I can't find it anywhere. Other comments say Software Update should flag it for download, but it doesn't. I have left the original program right where it was installed in the Applications folder. Where can I get the update?
You can't. The next version was in the next iLife boxed release that you had to pay for. What was bundled with the computer is on one of the software restore discs that came with the computer.
That doesn't jibe with this earlier thread: iPhoto failed update. I've seen similar replies elsewhere, too, that this minor point upgrade should show up as an available upgrade.
Since I hadn't been able even to try to install the update, I haven't yet tried deleting old receipts. Perhaps tomorrow....

That thread is more than 10 years old, it's quite possible that the update simply no longer exists as a download.
Yep, it is possible. Thought someone might have it in a repository somewhere, though. As a free patch, I figured it would exist somewhere that I could find out about.
That update is not on Apple's Download site nor any other site I can find. Being as old as it is I doubt if you'll find it anywhere.
And I certainly wouldn't risk downloading it from anywhere else...
