I have the same problem. The grouping of album artists didn't work.
All names of artists are mixed up with the wrong albums.
I updated iTunes Match in itunes, turned it off and on in iTunes and also on my iPhone and iPad.
Nothing is working.
In itunes, all albums and artists are ok.
I hope someone has an solutions! :-(
Jeah, its a problem caused by Apple, they will fix it with a new update, its not only me who have this issue, hopefully they fix it fast :-)
I have this problem too. Thinking at first perhaps my iPhone's index got corrupted, I re-imaged by phone. After that, things were still wrong, but in a different way. It seems the tracks are randomly being misattributed when the device queries Apple. Even sorting by artist will show duplicate entries by the same artist.
I hope this is fixed soon. It's a long line of sporadic failures over the few years I've used this service that's broken my ability to actually use it.
Yeah, this problem has started occurring for me today too! Anyone know when Apple will be implementing a fix?
I don't use iTunes Match but turning off Settings > Music > Show All Music on the device and then resetting it may help.
Otherwise, if all is as it should be in iTunes, then these steps should work.

That's great advice if the local index is messed up on the device, but is apparently not the case for us here. I actually did reset my iPhone thinking the local index might have been messed up as a method of troubleshooting this.
Oh well, worth a shot. 😕

Apple says: 8.4 next week will bring the solution, apple works hard for fix
Let's hope that fixes it then.

following this thread for future updates. the same issues happened to me in just the past few days. albums were split--even if it was just one artist. additionally, some tracks have the wrong artist(s) attributed to them. flashempire, do you have a link to anything saying that apple has acknowledged the problem and will be fixing it in 8.4?
There's a couple pretty long threads, thought short on actual info, in the iTunes Match forum you may want to check out. I sure hope this bug gets fixed soon. It's very frustrating and has made a complete mess of my library on all my iDevices.
After updating to 8.4, this problem has not been fixed but in fact is now completely broken. The corrupted index carried through the update, and trying to turn off and then re-enable what is now called 'iCloud Music Library' results in a circular error advising me to try to turn on the iCloud Music Library that can't be turned on. (literally).
