Dissolving coating on Sports Band inside

Hi,

The coating on the inside of my sports band is dissolving. After investigating a little bit further I noticed the the spot where the top layer is rubbing of is exactly where the other half of the sport bands ends when you slide it underneath when wearing the watch. I linked 2 pictures that I took to make things more clear.

I personally think the band quality is pretty bad if this happens after 2 weeks of wearing. I was wondering if I am the only one or if there other customers who have this problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already contacted AppleCare. The advisors is sending my pictures to engineering for evaluation.

I assume they will say it is standard wear and tear and is not covered by warranty. It is the same with the smart covers when they used to scratch the ipad when rubbing metal against metal.

Kinda disappointed by the product quality...

My black sport band was doing this exact same thing. I took it into an Apple Store (Genius appointment) and they replaced the band. However, the second black sports band is now exhibiting the same behavior after only two weeks. They told me to bring it in if this band started doing the same thing, so looks like back to the store I go. The Genius that looked at my original band said this is not normal and it shouldn't be doing this.
