Is it possible to create a password file?
I would like to create a file that would require a password to view. If this is possible how can I do this?

Click here and follow the instructions. Don't add the encrypted image's password to the keychain.

I created the disk image, but now I can't figure how to get a file into it safely. When I dragged the disk image to my Finder documents and dragged one to it, it just appeared as a file "inside" it, and you could open it without a password. What am I doing wrong?
Found out what I needed to do. In Utilities had to choose New>Disk Image from Folder NOT New > Blank Disk. When I did that, everything worked fine. Thank you for your help.
