Jun 29, 2015 1:19 AM in response to Wasserjaby Brian O'Reilly,Hi
Let us know which Nikon camera.
Does your 'relatively new Nikon camera' appear on the Apple RAW support list - see below
Your problem may be that newer cameras are usually only supported on newer versions of OS X
As you are on 10.7.5 it is unlikely that a new camera will be supported
So - more info and we may be able to assist
This is the current list for Yosemite:
OS X Mavericks: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support
Hope this helps

Jun 29, 2015 9:54 AM in response to Wasserjaby Brian O'Reilly,★HelpfulThe Nikon D750 requires "Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01"
See Here:
OS X Yosemite: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support
It can be downloaded here:
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.01
The System requirements are:
OS X 10.10 w/ iPhoto 9.6 or Aperture 3.6
So - you will have a number of hoops to jump through - Update to 10.10 Yosemite and Aperture 3.6
Take great care as you will need Aperture 3.6.1 if you update to 10.10.3
Hope this helps

Jul 1, 2015 8:55 AM in response to Wasserjaby Wasserja,Brian,,
I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3, but can't seem to find a link to upgrade to Aperture 3.6.1. I am told to go to the APP store, but then discovered that it doesn't reside there. In the interim, I obviously have lost use of Aperture. Where do I go to find the upgrade? Thanks again for your kind assistance.

Jul 1, 2015 1:09 PM in response to Wasserjaby Ernie Stamper,There is no 3.6.1 -- only 3.6 which works with 10.10.3, and now with 10.10.4.
More info, please.

Jul 1, 2015 2:25 PM in response to Wasserjaby Brian O'Reilly,If you bought Aperture from the App Store then login to your account and check your Purchases - you should see Aperture listed
You may be unable to download it so...
Move the old Aperture application to Trash
Check the App Store again
Download Aperture 3.6
For more info - see the myriad of similar threads in this discussion area
Hope this helps
