That indicates that it is not properly connected to the network, you might start by restarting the router.

Same problem with mine, the wifi seems ok, its has high signal and when I restarted the device it downloaded the latest software without problems, after restart I setted up everything and my wifi again and connected without trouble; in computers I can't sign in with my id and in settings > main menu doesn't show any app.

This is also happening to me.

I think it's an Apple problem.

yep, here too. After a google search, seems to be a problem dating back to 2012 with no definitive answer. tried the usual with no results. attempting a full restore now.

There seem to be a major problem with the iTunes authentication server as iTunes on the Mac will let med log in using my two accounts . AppleTv on the other hand lets me login to iCloud but no chance log in to either of my iTunes accounts . Resetting or rebooting will not work as the problem lies with Apple

Came back after a couple of hours and it appears the full restore fixed it, or something on Apple's end changed.

Or the fact that the ATV gained access to the time/date server as was the case here @ my house . Had to share wifi from my iPhone over 4g as my home network somehow fubars that perticular thing

I think buktavegen61 is onto something.  I can't query apple's NTP (time) server on the default port, but I can query other time servers (pool.ntp.org)

    > $ sudo ntpdate pool.ntp.org

    > 28 Jun 15:19:15 ntpdate[69761]: adjust time server 104.232.3.3 offset 0.002102 sec

    > $ sudo ntpdate time.apple.com

    > 28 Jun 15:19:25 ntpdate[69770]: no server suitable for synchronization found

I'm also able to query time.apple.com on an unprivleged port:

    > $ sudo ntpdate -u time.apple.com

    > 28 Jun 15:30:48 ntpdate[69799]: adjust time server 17.253.14.253 offset -0.024798 sec
