Why doesn't my 7th generation ipod nano recognize soundbot sb510?
Bluetooth devices normally need to be placed in a "ready to connect" state before they are detectable. I'm not familiar with the Soundbot device but the other Bluetooth speakers that I use have a button or switch that sets them to a "ready" mode so that they can the be detected and connected to. If your speaker is (or has been) connected to something else then it'll be set to connect to that.
I have the same issue here. My ipod nano is not connecting to the Soundbot SB510 but my iphone 6 plus does. I do not understand. Did anyone find a solution to this issue? Thanks.
If you have previously paired the Soundbot to the iPhone and it is within proximity then the Soundbot is probably auto connecting to the iPhone which prevents the Nano from seeing it. Turn BT off on your iPhone, put the SB into pairing mode and try again.
That is what I thought, but the thing is that the very first pairing I tried with the SB510 was with my ipod nano, so it had not been paired before. I will try switching off the Bluetooth on my phone and pair it then with the iPod.
Thanks!
