Problem with apple tv audio streaming to AV receiver via a tv with a wireless DISH Joey and bluetooth adapter

This past week a DISH wireless Joey with a bluechip adapter
was installed on a second TV I have on my patio. The Joey is connected to HDMI 1 on this
tv. A different tv inside my home is
wired to a Denon AV E300 receiver and
the DISH Hopper with sling uses HDMI 1.
This tv’s audio plays through ceiling mounted speakers throughout the
home including the patio where the second tv with the wireless Joey is
located.

This past week a DISH technician installed a Bluetooth
adapter on the wireless Joey so I could pair it with a Rockerfish Bluetooth
adapter which I have connected to my Denon receiver. The reason we did this was so I could stream
the audio from the patio tv to the receiver which would enable me to listen to
the second tv’s sound through the ceiling installed speakers connected to the
receiver. To accomplish the Bluetooth
pairing with the Denon AV receiver, yesterday the DISH chat technician had me connect
the left and right 3.5 mm stereo audio cables coming out of
Rocketfish Bluetooth adapter to the Audio / IN Cable Sat left and right
ports on the receiver. Then she had me
configure the Denon receiver via “setup” to use the Cable / Sat remote button
for playing and listening to the tv insided the home and the media player
remote button
to stream sound from the patio tv, when watching it, to the ceiling mounted speakers. All
of this works fine now and when watching tv with DISH programs on the patio the
Bluetooth works great and I can listen to the sound through the patio ceiling
speakers when I hit the media player button on the Denon remote. As an fyi, the
inside tv also has Apple tv hooked up by the original DISH tech that installed
the DISH hopper months ago. The Apple
unit is connected to HDMI 2 on the inside tv and to watch Apple TV inside all I
have to do is switch the tv source from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 and then on the Denon
remote……press the TV audio button. The
CBL / Sat button on the Denon remote is used to watch regular DISH programming
on the inside TV.

So the next thing I wanted to do today was connect my apple
tv to the patio tv and be able to, via the Joey with the DISH Bluetooth
adapter, stream music to the ceiling speakers.
I ran the Apple HDMI to HDMI 2 on the TV. I ran an optical cable from the Apple unit in
to the back of the Joey as well. Now
here is the problem. When I am watching
the Apple tv on the patio tv (with the wireless Joey / Bluetooth
adapter) the visual works fine (I see the Apple tv content) when changing the
input on the tv to HDMI 2. But the audio
that plays from this tv when watching Apple TV is coming from HDMI, i.e. the
programming for regular tv which is connected with HDMI 1. The Bluetooth connection is working but again,
it is not playing the sound from Apple TV.
How do I fix this?? Do I need a 2
in 1 HDMI connector so the Apple HDMI and the Joey HDMI both run to HDMI 1 on
the outside tv OR do I need a separate AV receiver outside to accomplish
this?
