Q: Deleted files from Photos, capacity remains same. Why?

I deleted an entire year's worth of images (including RAW files) from Photos. I even went to the recently deleted folder and deleted them as well.  My regular trash bin is also empty.  Why did the capacity and available space not change?

This is EXACTLY what I needed to know!!!  Thank you so very very much!  Now, however, I cannot restore my big folder because I have deleted other folders since.  Is this correct?  So, I have to go search them out SOMEHOW under events or photos....ugh.

I'm sorry. I don't understand what you mean by "big folder" and "other folders" and how they might interact.

To clarify:  I deleted an album in Photos with possibly 2,000 photos in it, and since then have deleted another album.  I can Edit/Undo delete for the ladder, but the first deleted album I cannot retrieve correct?  I will have to fish those 2,000 photos out of the events folder or the photos folder...which is a task.  Regardless...thank you for explaining this to me.  It seems so obvious now.

Gotcha. Good luck with that task. You might consider whether you can narrow down the candidate list by judicious use of smart albums.
