Exporting Aperture photos low resolution
When I export a photo in Aperture to my desktop the photo goes from 15mp to 1mp. I am exporting using version jpg. original size. Any suggestions to get a higher quality export?

Check the settings for "JPEG Original Size", i.e. the "Quality" slider.
In the Export panel select "Edit" after select "JPEG originals size". Make sure, the "Size to" is really set to "Original size" and adjust the Quality Slider to at least "11" for aa decent JPEG quality.
This will give you at least the quality your original JPEG has, bt the file size will be lower because of the JPEG compression. Are your originals JPEGs or RAW files?
I see Size to Original Size but do not see a quality slider. I tried to export Tiff original and it was better quality but still pretty low.
The Quality slider will appear in the Edit pane, when you select "image Format: JPEG". It will determine the amount of JPEG compression.
This worked much better. Thank you so much for helping me. My files were raw. Does that change anything?
When you develop a RAW file and export it in a different format there will always be slight changes. The closest you will be able to get to the original RAW will be exporting as a 16bit TIFF, but that will result in a gigantic file size.
