PCIe ssd's reliability, functionality with Logic and other pcie cards

Hello,

I was wondering what your experiences are with PCIe ssd's ? I'm thinking about installing 2 ssd's on a pcie card, one for the OS, one for the samples and sessions. How are your experiences with this set-up as far as reliability, stability with Logic X, combination with regular hard discs

in the slots and other cards, eg. Universal audio, all running in a 64 bit environment on Mountain lion.

I know it's a lot of stuff together, I just want to know if people are using any ( or all ) of these combinations and what the experiences are.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thnx,

Peter

Or just replace your existing drives with SSDs. SSDs will give you some performance increase. Also be sure you have a minimum of 16 GB RAM, too. Those are the only two things you can do to get more power out of an older Mac Pro.
