Magic Trackpad unresponsive or choppy after woken from sleep mode on MacBook

Since upgrading to Yosemite, whenever my early 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro is woken from sleep mode, my bluetooth Magic TrackPad is terribly unresponsive or choppy when moving the cursor. It's super frustrating. The only remedy is to restart my MacBook. Is this a known issue and is there a fix? Also, should I post this in this forum or the OS X or MacBook forum?

You can post this sort of question in either forum. The timing of this may be a coincidence. Have you recently introduced another electronic item into the room; a wireless hub, smart television, a trackpad, another conmputer?

Did you double check your settings when Yosemite had been downloaded?

Thanks for the reply! Just my Apple Watch, a second Apple TV and a Samsung Sound Stand for my TV. If those would affect it somehow, I don't understand why it would only happen when my MacBook wakes up from sleep.
