Could you explain in a little more detail what you are experiencing?
Where are you seeing these widgets?
Are you being switched to the Dashboard?
What shows up in System Preferences > Mission Control > Show Dashboard?
All checks at the top and show dashboard has mouse button 3. Sorry, by widgets I did mean the dashboard. It as always been available through mouse button 3 but now comes up with both 1 and 2 but not always.
Sounds like it could be an intermittent fault with the mouse or maybe interference if it's connected by Bluetooth. Something that causes misinterpretation of the click, anyway.
Option key>Finder>Go>Library>Preferences. Trash the com.apple.dashboard.plist file, repair permissions & restart your computer.
If Dashboard is working correctly, trash the plist file.
