Removing Apps From Watch

When I go to remove apps from the watch, I go to the iPhone app and do not allow them to show on the iWatch.

However, instead of the app showing, there is a gray circle there. On the app layout, it tells me that it's the (deleted) app.

I don't want a watch filled with gray circles...

Any hints?

Restart your  Watch and reset your iPhone. Then try again.

To reset the iPhone press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

How do you know which app(s) correspond to the gray icons? I think I fixed this once before by turning a few apps on and back off again, but it was by luck that I found which ones they were. Now I have a couple dozen in the list as more apps come out.

And that leads to this — is this list just going to to turn into an infinite list of apps you may have installed just for your phone but have a corresponding Watch app as well? And we're expected to click on each to go into a pane with one or two toggles (show/glances)? I hope they figure out something a little easier to manage with 2.0, this is a horrible way to manage a ton of apps you may have not even installed with the intent of using on the watch at all.
