says your Mini will only run the 32 bit version of win 7.
What bit version of Win 7 do you have?
your Mac only supports a 32 bit OS that is why you are limited to Lion. Lion was the last OSX to be offered in 32 bit.

as I have tried many times before to use a disc but the installation always fails.
What is the failure?

Jun 28, 2015 4:47 PMby Shanestir,I can't remember the precise error code I was given, but after OS X rebooted I was booted into the beginning of the windows installers, it said loading windows until I eventually got a message saying that either my disc or hard drive had failed. Which is incorrect as I made tried two different copies of the disc and my hard drive is fine, since I'm actually using it to type this. I'll admit the iso file used was downloaded from the internet, but it works fine as I've used it several times before.

Jun 28, 2015 5:06 PMby Shanestir,I'm considering the possibility that the problem lies within my disc burner. The system info states can burn dvds. Every time I attempt to insert a blank dvd it just gets spat out again. Although I have tested a DVD on it and it works fine. Not an expert on dvd drives, any suggestions? I might try an external dvd drive.
