Q: Turning Login Password Off

first you must unlock the lock on lower left corner by inserting password, then you'll be able to Disable Automatic Login

1. If you use FileVault or an iCloud password, turn those off.

2. The control you need to change is the one which requires a password after sleep or the screen saver.

Open Security & Privacy. Click on the lock icon and enter your admin password as requested. Uncheck the Disable Automatic Login option and uncheck the Require Password option. This will require entering your admin password a couple of more times.

Check both of the items I listed above. If either of them is turned on, you won’t be able to log in automatically; click here for instructions on turning them off.

Setting a separate password for your computer will stop it from asking for the iCloud password to log in, and allow you to use the automatic login option. You can use the same password as you do for your Apple ID as long as they’re stored separately, which is what turning the iCloud password off does.
