Can't drag and drop into dropbox from Photos?

As simple as the headline suggests—I can't do a simple drag and drop of photos from the "Photos" app into a Dropbox folder on line, yet ANOTHER of the many, many things I can't do anymore that I could do with iPhoto. This is about as much of a no-brainer as there could possibly be, and yet it can not be done.

If anyone knows if this actually can be cone, please let me know. I did, of course, work around it by using Dropbox's upload feature, but...come on. I shouldn't have to use a workaround for something like this, should I? And yes, I already reported it to Apple via their feedback page, but I have yet to see a "Photos" update to fix any of the many, many such problems I've reported in the months since I was forced into using it via Yosemite...

And for those who might suggest going back to iPhoto if I don't like Photos—I can't; Apple has made it impossible to revert back to iPhoto.

I am referring to working on my iMac desktop: I upgraded before OS 10.10.3; I did not purchase iPhoto because it came with my iMac, so that is why the instructions are not applicable for me.

Although iPhoto still resides in my Applications folder, I cannot open it. I get this message: "In order to open iPhoto.app, you need to update to the latest version..." and presents a "search app store" button. When I click this button, I get the message that "the item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."

Are there any other questions?

I had never tried to upload by dragging into the dropbox.com window in a browser, so I tried a test. I was able to drag from the desktop to upload. As you noted, dragging from Photos to dropbox.com. (I'm using Safari.)

I was able to drag from Photos into my Dropbox folder in the Finder if I actually opened a window to it. Even dragging to the sidebar in a Finder window worked; it just slid over to the contents column, switching to Dropbox if necessary and if I waited a few seconds.

Thats the way I do it. Seems to work the best for me. I have my Dropbox folder available in finder. (May have to go into preferences) Then select which photos you wish to put into dropbox folder drag and drop. Also If you hoover over the dropbox folder it will open allowing access to your dropbox folders then select which folder you wish drop selected pictures into the folder desired. There are other ways as noted. This seems to be the best and easiest way I have found.
