Outdoor Cycling GPS data NOT working on apple watch

Why has my Apple watch suddenly decided it doesn't need to tell me how far or how fast I am cycling?

My first 15 days or so of cycling the workout app logged distance just fine, but now no matter what I do it doesn't read any distance for outdoor cycling workouts. It also wont show my speed during the workout- all in all, it seems to be getting NO GPS data from the iPhone, even though it's connected to it and controlling the music on the iPhone as well (proving its connected).

I Have changed nothing of my habits from before when it worked- it just doesn't work anymore. Side note: it logs running GPS data just fine still. As a test: I went for a run which it logged GPS data for just fine, and immediately after I hopped on the bike and switched from "outdoor run" to "outdoor cycling", and it completely played dumb again. No distance Data, no speed data. When all is said and done, it logs the activity with -- displayed for those items.

Frustrating!

Edit

Apple Watch, iOS 8.3
