reseting to manufacture

I am on mac book pro here 10.10.3 on OS X yosemite I had pass word set for security reasons so nothing can be changed and now a guest got hold of pass word and changed it how do I do a manufacture restore thanks on safari here no cd as well. This laptop is done for warrantee. Also been rented from a rental place thanks when U click on the lock picture it keeps saying in correct pass words. 😠

Sorry to hear about the situation.


Easiest solution: If a guest changed the password, contact that guest and ask them for it.


Failing that: Change or reset a user account password on your Mac - Apple Support

If none of the options in that article apply to you, then you have two remaining options:

  1. Contact Apple for help reseting the password.
  2. Erase the computer which will remove all your data and also the password: OS X: How to erase and install - Apple Support
