SONG: When I choose VIEW--->Show Exact duplicates and delete a duplicate song, it reappears with an iCloud icon and is still a duplicate. Why? Can someone explain this? I can't seem to get rid of duplicate songs. I have about 112 acting like this?
iMac (20-inch Early 2008), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), iTunes 12.1.2.27
Sign out of the iTunes Store.
Tidy up your duplicates.
Sign in again.

OK. I signed out of iTunes and deleted duplicates. Then I closed the iTunes program. Opened it back up and selected MyMusic. Looked promising. Then right in front of my eyes, all the previously deleted songs came back with the ICloud icons. I must be doing something wrong or missing a procedure.
Try iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Cache and iTunes > Preferences > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases > Off.

I've got the same problem. I've seen a few people direct me to the "show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" preference item but I don't see that in my preference panel. Perhaps they did away with that on the new iTunes 12.3.0.44

Indeed they have. You now need to go through each media type and use View > Only Offline Media.
