Q: my iphone5 shows it is  charging but it wont turn on

my iphone 5 is discharged it shows on the blank screen that is charging but it wont turn on its been quite a long time

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1, it wont turn on

    If the charger and the cable are genuine or Apple-certified and it has been at least 30 minutes since you put it to charge and it gives no sign of life, the battery may be dead. You wiil have to take it to an Apple Store or authorized service provider for assessment and cost of replacement.
