Jun 28, 2015 10:55 PM in response to macbookpro14by MadisonP,Greetings,
That is strange. I'm assuming the AppleTV was working fine with your wireless network before and suddenly stopped working. If it has never worked with your wireless network, don't try step # 3 below. Instead, reply back to let me know, and I'll have some more questions.
Try the following in order:
- Restart the AppleTV: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201836 and restart whatever device is providing your wireless network (usually this means unplug the power to your cable modem or wireless router).
- If the issue persists, plug an ethernet cable into the back of your AppleTV so it gets an internet connection. Then check for and install any software updates that are available: How to update software on your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) - Apple Support
- Restore the AppleTV: Restore your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) - Apple Support
- Note: This will erase all content and settings on the AppleTV and you'll need to set it up as if it were brand new.
Hope that helps,
Madison
